Alexander Poljansek: Minicomic and zine bundle
We’re excited to stock a swath of work from up-and-coming Tasmanian cartoonist Alexander Poljansek.
While picking up Poljansek’s Rockstar Mode and Horses comics, we thought it would be fun to offer a pile of Poljansek’s minis as well. It’s a lovely range of stuff: Hiking Tales and Closer are traditional zine-y comics, while Drawing the Americans is a small zine of illustrations based on Robert Frank’s photography (available here on pink or orange paper). Rounding out the pile are three “playlist” zines, each titled after a book that’s been influential to the author. Inside, you’ll find a typed-out playlist of tunes with illustrated cover art. Together, they form a personal portrait of Poljansek as a cartoonist and provide insight into his creative process.
